Synopsis
In a dystopian world marked by inequality and everyday violence, a grandmother is determined to make the most of the time she has left with her granddaughter. But as a series of events pushes them into increasing danger, love and fear begin to blur, forcing her to cross lines she never imagined.

About the Director
Costa Rican filmmaker whose debut, All About Feathers (2013), premiered at TIFF, followed by Helmet Heads (2018). His work has screened at major festivals including San Sebastián and Rotterdam. He has participated in Cannes Cinéfondation, Berlinale Talents and Locarno Filmmakers Academy. Love is the Monster is his third feature and first thriller.
